Description
Folate 400 provides 400 mcg of Metafolin, the naturally occurring, universally metabolised form of the essential nurtient folate. Folates feature on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines, and have been associated with a wide variety of metabolic benefits. Regular doses of folates have been shown to reduce cases of heart disease and strokes, as well as supporting fertility in both men and women. Folates are most commonly associated, though, with expectant mothers. A healthy intake of folic acid is essential, particularly early in the pregnancy, for preventing neural tube defects in the foetus, which could result in the baby being born with various defects, including spina bifida. Folate acid is obtainable from various foods, but the best way to be sure of receiving the recommended dose is to take it in a dietary supplements. Folate 400, which is made from vegan, hypoallergenic ingredients and is certified as gluten free by the Gluten Free Certification Organisation, provides your dose in an easily swallowed capsule.

Ingredients
Take 1 capsule per day, with a meal, or as your doctor directs. Each vegetarian capsule contains:
- Folate (as Metafolin®, L-5-MTHF) 400 mcg.
- hypoallergenic plant fibre (cellulose), vegetarian capsule (cellulose, water)
