What is a sleep disorder?
Everyone needs sleep. Operating on little to no sleep is not only difficult and tedious, but it weakens your body and wears down your immunity making you susceptible to sickness. It can even take a toll on your mental health.
A whole lot of people have difficulty sleeping from time to time. There are a few people that feel well-rested after getting just six or seven hours of sleep, but most adults require eight hours of sleep per night to be able to function at full capacity the next day.
How do sleep disorders affect the body?
Sleeping difficulty can be the inability to sleep for a long time (waking up earlier than intended), taking a long time to fall asleep, or waking up repeatedly during the night. Symptoms of a lack of sleep include recurring headaches, fatigue throughout the day, irritability, and a lack of focus. Getting insufficient sleep can also affect the appearance, giving the person dark bags or circles under the eyes.
There are multiple reasons why someone might be experiencing a lack of sleep. It could be something easily solvable; like drinking coffee too close to bedtime. But it could be something a little more complex, like insomnia, stress, or depression, all of which can stem from a lack of the right vitamins and minerals.
Which supplements should be used?
Made of various herbal extracts—like Ashwagandha and valerian extract—Stress Support Complex is a supplement meant to relax the body and mind and can be useful for those experiencing a lack of sleep.
Phyto-ADR is a vegetarian supplement made from a mix of herbs, including Asian ginseng, Rhodiola as well as ashwagandha. Rhodiola works to calm the central nervous system, which is often the core source of a lack of sleep.
