Boswellia, also known as Indian Frankincense, is a herbal extract derived from the Boswellia tree. Boswellia resin contains four powerful bio active compounds called boswellic acids which have powerful anti-inflammatory properties that can significantly reduce joint pain, redness and swelling.
Boswellia has been used to support the immune system and connective tissue. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it can be useful in treating joint pain and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, asthma and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Research has shown that it can be effective in reducing joint pain and improving the range of motion in patients with osteoarthritis (OA).
