Description
Boswellia, also known as Indian Frankincense, is a herbal extract derived from the Boswellia tree. Boswellia resin contains four powerful bio active compounds called boswellic acids which have powerful anti-inflammatory properties that can significantly reduce joint pain. The resin is also rich in antioxidants which have many uses in the body, most notably protecting it from the harmful effects of environmental toxins and free-radicals.
Boswellia has been used to support the immune system and connective tissue. Due to its anti inflammatory properties, it can be useful in treating joint pain and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, asthma and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Research has shown that it can be effective in reducing joint pain and improving the range of motion in patients with osteoarthritis (OA). It has also been recommended as a potential therapy for people with Rheumatoid arthritis and those with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
