ProFlora GI is a probiotic formula that offers 10 billion colony forming units (CFU) of good bacteria per capsule. It contains strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus casei, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis and Streptococcus thermophilus in a broad-spectrum formula. Capsules can withstand destruction by stomach acid, and deliver the probiotics to the intestine where they can exert benefits and improve gut function. They are shelf stable – so do not require refrigeration.
The lactobacillus and bifidobacteria strains it contains help to break down food and absorb nutrients. They can also bring significant gastrointestinal benefits to those who experience digestive issues such as constipation. It contains Streptococcus thermophilus which has been shown to be best used in combination with other probiotics such as those found in ProFlora GI. When supplementing these strains together, it has been found to significantly improve the symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS and diarrhoea.
Refrigeration is not required.
SUGGESTED DOSAGE
As a food supplement, take 1 capsule, 1–2 times daily, with or between meals, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Do not take capsules with hot drinks as heat can kill bacteria.
