Vital-Immune Biotic by Klaire Labs contains a hypoallergenic blend of 3 different Lactobacillus and 1 Bifidobacterium species. They have been specially selected for their ability to colonise the small intestine, where they produce lactic acid. This in turn lowers the gut pH to strengthen the immune system and help control intestinal infections. This combination of bacteria reduces the permeability of gut mucosal cells, reducing symptoms of IBS such as constipation and diarrhoea. They also create the right conditions to enable the bifidobacterium longum to colonise the colon bringing benefits to the digestive and immune systems, especially for the elderly. The specific strains are:

• L. rhamnosus – has remarkable effects on inflammation and infections. Its health benefits also include relieving IBS symptoms, treating diarrhoea and strengthening the gut lining
• L. casei – used to prevent or treat diarrhoea. This includes infectious diarrhoea, traveler’s diarrhoea, and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
• L. acidophilus balances potentially harmful bacteria that can otherwise flourish in the gut due to illness or antibiotics. It can help balance flora in the vagina, helping to prevent yeast infections.

SUGGESTED DOSAGE
