Description
BiotaGen by Klaire labs is a prebiotic blend. Prebiotics are indigestible fibres that act as a source of fuel for the beneficial bacteria in the gut. By providing the probiotic bacteria with a source of food, they multiply, which in turn can reduce inflammation, fight harmful bacteria, and improve the absorption of minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Prebiotic fibres are also known to relieve constipation.
Inulin is a type of prebiotic. Prebiotics feed the good bacteria in the gut, allowing them to multiply and exert their health benefits. BiotaGen contains chicory-derived inulin, known for its ability to increase populations of Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, and Eubacterium. The latter is an important species that lives in the bowel with antimicrobial properties. By supporting the growth of beneficial bacteria, the number of undesirable bacteria declines.
Arabinogalactan, derived from the Western Larch tree, is a highly soluble dietary fiber that enhances immune function by increasing the number of bacteria fighting white blood cells. It also provides a source of fuel for the Lactobacillus species. Arabinogalactan is broken down into smaller compounds called short-chain fatty acids (acetate, butyrate, and propionate) which can strengthen the gut barrier, fight inflammation and enhance immunity.
Lastly, beta-glucan stimulates immune responses to a wide spectrum of fungal, and undesirable microorganisms.
BiotaGen contains a trio of prebiotic fibres which promote healthy digestion, specifically relieving constipation, while reducing inflammation of the gut and supporting the immune system. SUGGESTED DOSAGE
4 capsules, 1 to 2 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
