Saccharomyces boulardii, unlike other probiotics, is a harmless yeast. It is used to promote healthy bowel function and regularity. It also has the ability to adhere to harmful bacteria and gently remove them from the body. S. boulardii has a long track record of demonstrated efficacy in supporting a healthy balance of flora in the gut and reducing episodes of diarrhoea.
Saccharomyces boulardii is resistant to antibiotics, and has been researched for its clinical application in Travellers diarrhoea and its effectiveness at preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. S. boulardii may be a useful treatment for the maintenance treatment of IBD. It has also shown to help treat urinary tract infections in children.
S. boulardii is able to withstand the acidic conditions of the stomach, is resistant to antibiotics and does not need to be refrigerated. Each capsule contains 3 billion probiotic bacteria.
SUGGESTED DOSAGE
