Cells are the building blocks of life. All living things are made up of them; the human body itself is composed of trillions of cells.
They carry out a whole lot of functions such as producing energy and protection our DNA from damage. The cells in our body are the very foundation of our health, making it important to look out for our cells and do all we can to maintain their well-being. Each cell that gets strengthened in turn will boost all the cells around it, contributing to your overall health.
The body makes millions of new cells are made every day and nutrients are required as materials for each of these new cells to function properly and keep us healthy. That’s why we need to feed out cells vitamins and minerals to keep them on their top game and doing their job the way they should.
What supplements should be used
Amongst the minerals and vitamins our cells need, we have magnesium which plays many roles in our health. For magnesium to be properly absorbed by the body it needs sodium, cadmium, phosphorus, lead, iron, calcium manganese and potassium.
Calcium and iron are also great contributors to cell health and should be taken alongside magnesium or in a supplement with them all included.
Any multivitamin complex or single vitamin supplement is recommended for cell health, since all B vitamins, vitamin A, C, D, E, and K are all beneficial. It’s important to be careful to not take more vitamin supplements than is recommended because too much of any single mineral or vitamin supplement can cause malabsorption syndrome which hinders the body from getting the most from the nutrients it receives.
