+CAL+® with Ipriflavone is a combination of minerals, vitamins and herbs designed to strengthen the bones. This can reduce the risk of osteoporosis, as well as other bone conditions such as Paget’s disease. Most importantly, it contains calcium, whose role in building up the bones has long been recognized. Evidence also suggests that calcium strengthens the nervous system.
Osteoporosis can hit anyone, but it’s a particular risk to the elderly and to post-menopausal women. That doesn’t mean, though, that the risk can be ignored till then. In fact, adolescence is the crucial period for building strong bones, and action then can pay dividends decades later.
Crucially, +CAL+® contains Ipriflavone, an isoflavone that appears to powerfully support calcium in its protection of the skeletal system. Isoflavones are a group of organic compounds that mainly occur naturally in various plants, notable soybeans.
A study of Ipriflavone reported by the US National Library of Medicine showed a significant increase in bone density in the subjects, combined with a reduction in some types of fracture. The report concludes that “The data from the above studies show that long-term treatment with [Ipriflavone] may be considered safe, and may increase bone density and possibly prevent fractures in elderly patients with established osteoporosis.”
Besides its invaluable role in strengthening the bones and helping to fight off osteoporosis, +CAL+® with Ipriflavone is well balanced nutritionally. It’s made from a range of hypoallergenic, vegetarian ingredients and is certified gluten-free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organisation. A serving of seven capsules contains 900mg of calcium, along with minerals that support its absorption.
